Publisher's summary

"Madcap lunacy!"

Steve and Orson are back in this cracked sequel to Hell's Super, book two in the new satire and humor series, Circles in Hell. This time, the guys must fix Hell's heating and air conditioning (HVAC) system, which has failed. Hell is getting progressively colder, and things are a lot more serious than devils and demons needing to put on some sweaters.

If you've ever used the expression, "It will be a cold day in Hell before...", then you know that there are metaphysical ramifications involved. The HVAC system must be fixed before all Hell freezes over, which is an even worse state than just a bit of frigid weather. Still, anything can happen on a cold day in Hell...even a paranormal comedy romance that becomes a whacky love triangle.

A Cold Day in Hell is the second volume in the fantasy comedy series, Circles in Hell. It has been compared to other works of paranormal humor and Hell fiction including The Screwtape Letters and Good Omens and to the writings of Tom Holt, Christopher Moore, and Douglas Adams.

Funnier Than the First Book!

"A Cold Day in Hell" is a welcome addition to the Circles in Hell series. Not only are our protagonists much more developed as characters, but a deeper story and additional characters that will continue throughout the series are introduced that lead to a much larger and cohesive story that comes to resolution two books later in book 4.

Give this one a chance and be sire to save 2 credits as you'll want to pick up the next two in the series as well!

A must have for fans of Neil gaimen, terry pratchett, etc

Loved the 1st book and was thrilled to listen to the 2nd one. The same AMAZING narrator. The same cast of hells superintendent, person wells, Saran, beazy, Boo the bat out of hell, Florence nightingale and more as well as a new group of characters just as kookier and lovable as the originals. Can't wait for the rest of the series!!!! I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookblast in exchange for an unbiased review

Entertaining

The comedy continues with just as many bad jokes as were in the first book. The 'bad guy' wasn't as obvious in this one. The narration was excellent and the pace was steady. I look forward to the next book.

Love the humorous look at the afterlife!

Great book with a style that is reminiscent of Christopher Moore. What a fun read!

Interesting Take On How Hell Works

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. The characters are great and the narration is top notch.

What other book might you compare A Cold Day in Hell to and why?

Hell's Super. It is the second in the series.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Minion, Orson, and Bix were trying to get to Mr. Erebus.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I was able to get through half of the book while I was ice fishing.

Any additional comments?

It may be necessary to read "Hell's Super" so you can get some background on the characters but it isn't mandatory.

Keeps gettting better!

Im sure like many Audible subscribers, I have a few series im listening to so every month when I get new credits it's hard to decide which to get. Well this series is definitely rising higher in the ranks. It's very entertaining to think of Hell in this silly but still Hellish way. And how the devil acts etc,.,,, I thoroughly enjoy the Hell series!

Review of Cold Day in Hell

Fantastic book with great story line. Narration is the best I ever heard. Also sound effects were top notch. Wonderful series of books that never seem to get old.
