Like a movie in your mind

I liked the stories. The two thingt that really bothered me was the description list of the stories did not reflect the order in which they were played and sometimes the sound effects and/or music cut into the narration which made it hard to hear. I honestly do like audiobooks that play like a movie and would like to see more of them especially horror themed

terrible sound editing

I am surprised that Audible even has this in their inventory. The sound editing is terrible and it is nearly impossible to hear the story over the cheesy sound effects. The voice acting is also incredibly overdone. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Good stories ruined by poor mixing

I was really excited about this one at first, then things just dropped off and never picked up again. The stories were actually fine, there are some great authors in that list. The opening story had a lot of promise. It used the whole sound effects and voice actors gimmick really well. It seemed as if the opening story had been written for that exact purpose. Then things become a little repetitive and the mixing goes a bit weird. Voices are coming from all sorts of places and there are too many sound effects drowning out the dialogue.
There are also quite a few places where you need to fast forward. Of the 6hrs or so of story telling there is at least 90mins of looped music and credits. Maybe even more. I got really sick of hearing the name K. Anderson Yancy over and over and over again during this audio book. It appears to have been a very self indulgent creation for this performer and writer.
When the stories have a particular theme e.g. Mummies, there is some really poorly selected music that is looped and played far to loudly and frequently. This eventually became distracting then quite frustrating. I was really looking forward to listening to some H.P. Lovecraft and the production here destroyed the story.
I'd recommend this to someone who actually doesn't want to focus on the stories and just wants to hear some gimmicky sounds and lots of voices butchering some great stories. Otherwise save your money/credit and treat your ears to something else. I toughed this out in the hope that it would get better. I'll tell you now that it doesn't. if your a huge K. Anderson Yancy fan get it.

Amateur performance and production

Very disappointed. Felt like a high school class project. Not worth the time write any more.
