I appreciated a wholesome story for young girls
This story represents a sad situation that happens too many times in todays society. Child abuse and woman abuse by men is kept secret for the very reasons in this story. Men often support each other as though it is no big deal to throw their weight around with smaller more fragile beings. Portraying the Bible as the source of Wisdom and Help was beautiful. The Words of God and the person of Jesus who became the Word in the flesh are our help and strength!
I pray many young lives will be changed by this book!

Adult Beverly Lewis fans will enjoy this series
While written for younger readers, all ages of adult fans of Beverly Lewis Amish books will enjoy this series. I began listening because they are included in my membership. Knowing what I know now, I would have been happy to pay a full credit for each of the two volumes.

Pronouncian
I wish someone would teach the reader proper pronunciation of names before their reading. I shivered every time I heard Zook and Lancaster pronounced in the story.
