Publisher's summary

Sometimes fated love requires...some good old-fashioned magikal meddling.

Coyle O'Caha, a 700-year-old immortal druidsorcerer, is a famed warrior among his kind and a legendary ladies' man - but that doesn't mean he hasn't spent his life looking for his soulmate. That one woman who will make him feel whole. When Deri walks into his seaside pub, clearly running from something or someone, it's all he can do to not sweep her off her feet and claim her right then and there. It's as if the goddess is mocking him. Not only is his mate immune to his charms and his magik, she's human.

Deri Sullivan's new boss has a Scottish lilt that makes her knees weak. The problem is he's a certified ladies' man. And she's sworn off those types - for good. If only she could stop dreaming about him in ways that would make any girl blush. See, she has a secret, and even if she wanted to let Coyle into her bed, she couldn't actually let him into her life. Witches and humans simply don't mix.

Sacred Places

I loved this book. It is short but has a great story. Deri is a witch who is on a magic ban because of her ex and the PBI. Coyle is an Immortal Druid who is 700 years old and cannot wait until he meets his other half. On the run and unable to use magic Deri goes to the first town she remembered. When she is looking for work she keeps getting pushed to a pub, not just any pub, the one that Coyle owns. From the very beginning there is chemistry and attraction. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Fun afternoon read

This was a fun, quick afternoon read. The snark was free flowing, the tension was heady, and the HEA was sweet! I did wish that there would have been more of the bad guy/conflict but all in all a solid read!

Sacred Places

Would you listen to Sacred Places again? Why?

Yes and I will because it is a fun, short story with great characters and I love the narration.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Coyle, he was funny, wicked and so in love/lust.

What about Mason Lloyd’s performance did you like?

Although he is one of my favorite narrators, when he uses any Celtic accent it is the highlight of the audio for me.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Several laugh out loud scenes.

Any additional comments?

The story of a witch on probation after being wrongly blamed for a misdeed, ends up in a major Druid training center. All try to hide their magic from each other and end up madly in love, thinking a relationship impossible.
