Publisher's summary

Live bait makes all the difference.

Sent on a mission to lure Budapest's vampire Overlord into a trap, Connie Bence is instead caught red-handed by the dark Casanova.

Her employer has concrete proof of the dubious leader's misdeeds but she is surprised when this ruthless killer, Rurik, offers her protection and rescues her from his own kind. It plants seeds of doubt in her mind and she begins to question his guilt.

Now she is thrown into his world where blackmail determines her every move and where she must betray those she cares about or let them die. The stakes are high. She either puts her trust in Rurik or leads him to his execution.

Love or life.

Buffy the vamp meets Legally Blonde

Loved this book. It's action packed, fun and campy. Such a sassy heroine with fabulous one-liners.

Great start to a new Vampire series

This was a gamble for me as I haven't heard of the author before but my gamble really paid off. Thoroughly entertaining from the start - Connie is the bait and part of a team of Hunters trying to trap a supposedly viscous vampire called Rurik (in walks tall, dark and handsome). But he captures her instead with disastrous consequences for them both.

Good romance plot, action packed, evil bad guys in the form of very very old vampires called Nosferatu (in walks the evil deformed uglies), all the characters were interesting and, or but, the sex scenes were pretty low on the temperature scale.

You think the book ends with a '......happily ever after' but reading from the author's website, Book 2 will continue their romance but things don't go as expected for them both. This will be an automatic download for me when Audible releases it.

Narrator was a bit slow but I put her on double-speed so it wasn't a problem.

Worth a credit? I thoroughly enjoyed it - so it's a definite YES.

Hooked on Bait

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'll definitely be recommending this one to my fellow audiobook fans... packed with action and sizzle!

Any additional comments?

Worth a credit? If, like me, you're into steamy Vampire tales then definitely YES!!!

Needs a Better Narrator

What disappointed you about BAIT?

The narration makes the book. I think if the narrator is good you can listen to almost anything.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jennifer O'Donnell?

As I said in my review for "Catch" I think Kristine Hvam did an excellent job with the Jane Yellowrock series and I think she would have been great for these books.

Any additional comments?

Only paid 1.99 each for Bait and Catch and not sure they were worth even that with the horrible narration.

No for me

Any additional comments?

I found Bait lacking. I just couldn't get interested in the story at all. My mid was wondering after the second chapter. The narrator lacked that special something that hooks you into the story. The story could of had some more lust and spice thrown in as well. I won't other with anymore of this series.

copied from another book.

this is a sad copy of One Foot in the Grave. I was really looking forward to it but it let me down. Though the narrator did a good job of trying to give this story life.
