Shirley's at the top of her class in college, she's almost perfect, except she has a weakness for computer games. It would even be fair to say she has an addiction.
When virtual reality comes along, she delves so deeply into her favorite game that it alters her mind in ways she could never have anticipated. The game's goal, to improve one's mental abilities, transitions to real life situations, where she finds her new found abilities come in handy, at the most interesting times.
