In The Marketplace, the first book of the series, follow the trials and tribulations of four aspiring slaves as they undergo training hoping to be accepted into the secret underground society of masters and slaves known as the Marketplace. Under the firm hand of Grendel, the sharp eye of Alexandra, and the painful leather strap in the hands of Chris, these men and women will find some of their hardest challenges come from within themselves. HHHAAAAAWWWWWTTTTTT

This book was spectacular.. Well written, well read, and hotter than hot. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Audible, do the entire series!

I could not get the whispersync to work on this and that makes me sad, because frankly, I am on my third listen and would have loved to have read it as well.

Chris Parker....I think I love you,Sir.

Superb Reader/Actor

The Marketplace books have been a series that I have long looked forward to owning on audio. When Laura announced to her friends and fans that she had made an agreement with audible to release The Marketplace I did a dance of joy and eagerly anticipated the release.

Although anticipating the release, I have been praying that the reader/actor would do justice to this book. I have occasionally been disappointed when I have purchased the audio version of a favorite book after finding what I considered a well written book had been ruined by the audio presentation. The result was the urge to turn it off within the first couple of chapters.

Upon downloading and beginning to listen to this favorite, I was happy to hear a beautiful british accent and someone that appears to understand the nuances and this material. I look forward to hearing the other books in the series as they become available.
