Perfect ending to this trilogy

--I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Rue does not let us down with the conclusion of this trilogy! This one for me was the most suspenseful, full of plot twists and turns. I was anxious for the first several hours of listening to finally get Abby and Jack together. And then when they finally met up, the circumstances were very surprising. The twists kept coming through the book, kept me listening til I finally got my happily ever after. The introduction of Aunt Caroline was genius. She gave us a sense of calm and serenity throughout the book which I loved, and the matching of Avery and Sam...totally awesome.

Sierra Kline finishes up this series perfectly. I am so happy she did all three as each person that she created gave us an outstanding way of listening. I love her renditions and always look forward to hearing her interpretations.

Enjoyable but....

I've really enjoyed this series, although I've always thought it was most successful when it steered away from all of the 50 Shades influenced scenes. It's great getting to see the subplot with the Landon's resolve and that's by far the most interesting part of the whole trilogy. I did feel like the author must have been a little rushed to get this out to press. The first few books had pretty good writing, but this one had so many repetitions of the someone "tilting their head" or "crossing their arms" that it started to get exasperating.

Sierra Kline is a great narrator, and clearly does her best with what she was given, but she sometimes struggles with dealing with the same expression over and over. She's delivers the other sections with a great sense of humor or her signature steaminess. It's also fun to see her taking on some more action flavored scenes than what we normally see her do.

Overall, still a totally fun listen, but I wish it had a hair more editing before going to print.

Suspense, Intrigue, and Smokin' Hot

Rating
5 out of 5 Hearts

This review is for the Audiobook Edition.

Oh My Gracious! This last installment threw me for a loop, not only was it Smokin' Hot, it was suspenseful, mysterious, and so beautifully written, I fell in love with the characters all over again.

The narrator, Sierra Kline, did an excellent presentation of their voices, and when it came the dramatic scenes, she brought it beautifully!

I adore Rue Volley's writing style, it has evolved over the years, becoming cleaner, stronger, and even more picturesque. Great job, Rue Volley!

Easy listen if not totally engrossing story

The story did not totally grab me, but I do have to say that if there's one thing that kept me coming back to listen to more, it was Sierra Kline's seamless narration. Her voice really kept me engaged and wanting to hear it through. She has a very sensuous way about her voice that suits her perfectly for this genre.

Didn't catch my attention

This audiobook was given by the author, for free in exchange for an unbiased review thanks Audiobook Boom!

I can't quite put my finger on the problem with this book, it just never hooked me in or made me care about the characters. I kept losing interest. I say pass on this one.

No explosion for me

I almost wish I didn't read any reviews of the third installment before listening. My expectations were high for the ending of this story and well...I was underwhelmed. I'll try to make my point without spoilers: what felt like 2 hrs of flashbacks...verbatim and at length (not really 2 hrs but definitely too long); the v card...I can't even speak of this without spoiling it so let's just say whichever way it goes I wasn't impressed; the ending...again I'll end up spoiling it but it seemed so typical and the books weren't ever typical so it ended up to me as forced and not true to the series. Now all that being said, I still enjoyed it and stayed up 2 hrs later than normal just to finish it. So it couldn't have been bad just not what I expected after reading some of the reviews.

As for the narrator, she did a wonderful job. The little girl voice only reared it's annoying head once that I can think of and of course it's at the end when she's 40...really? The rest of it was spotless, better than the first two I thought.

I received this audiobook as a gift from the author, narrator, or publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Steamy read, but somewhat immature.

Let me start by saying that I received this book at no cost to me from the writer narrator or author for a honest review
This is the third book in a trilogy, I have not read the first two books yet. I thought that the lead character Abby was very immature for a woman in her mid-20s to the point of being almost uncomfortable to me. Maybe there is a reason for this that is revealed in the first two books, I do plan on buying both books in the trilogy that I do not already own. This book felt rushed to me and there were a lot of flashbacks. That is what got me interested in reading the two previous books. However if you have already read the first two books you might find this book a bit repetative The ending was exactly what you thought it would be so fans of the other two books will probably be happy to know that.
The narrator was a genius in this part the voice that she did for Abby was very childish and really got on my nerves until I understood that is exactly the way that Abby was. I would recommend this book but not before I had already read the first two.
