If you could sum up Submission in three words, what would they be?
Dark, Master and Slave
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would have liked to know why she tolerated his treatment of her. Especially in the beginning when he just basically kidnapped her and told her she was now his slave and she just goes along with it?
What about Jennifer Saucedo’s performance did you like?
I've listened to a few books narrated be Jennifer Saucedo and I really enjoyed her work. This was her best work I've heard from her. Great job.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I had issues with the kidnapping and making her his slave without any discussion. That left me confused as a reader and baffled as a woman.
Any additional comments?
With everything going on it left you wanting more to see what would happen next. I didn't want to put it down.

Fast paced short novella. Fun story line. Master/slave relationship that went from 0 to 60 before you can blink an eye. The passion from the relationship is evident, the story rushes to the finish line leaving a cliffhanger. As Veronica got further into the story the pace slowed marginally, but still felt rushed.
Mary Elizabeth simply goes from employee to slave overnight by captivity. I feel a bit of Stockholm Syndrome going on. In the end she falls for her captor and relinquishes her control. I just wonder if it's truly what would follow in a case of captive slave.
