Publisher's Summary

Ryan Church and Jill Paxon enjoyed their life as Master and submissive until the day Ryan's entire world crumbled. No longer able to fulfill his end of the contract, Ryan did what he thought was best for Jill. He let her go.
Eighteen months later, Ryan is working for Ian Taggart as the Dom in Residence at the elite BDSM club Sanctum when his former submissive walks through the door looking for a job. Jill has changed, but his desire for her is still insatiable. Jill, shattered by his past rejection, can't trust Ryan, but she needs the job. Back in the community where she once felt safe and secure, she longs for the life she lost and the man she loved.
Ryan is presented with an opportunity to restore his wealth and name, but it could cost him his last chance at rebuilding a life with the woman he loves. When the secrets Jill has carefully hidden from Ryan are exposed, a terrible twist of fate might take her out of his life forever.

Good series

I've really enjoyed this series. The stories are interesting and I really like the completed relationship aspect of each book while continuing the thread of the hunt for a bad guy. And the heat is a nice sizzle. This novella was one of my favorite stories (really laughed at Ian's conversation with Jill near the end), but then Lexi had to go and give yet another heroine body image issues. Fat ass, saggy boobs. Really? This is supposed to be fantasy. Erotic imagery with an interesting story surrounding it. Why do all your heroes have perfect, hard physiques while the females feel squishy and a little chubby. You ruined the last love scene for me. Because while I appreciate that women don't have to look perfect to be loved. THIS IS FICTION. Give us great looking heroes AND heroines. Make the secondary characters imperfect if you think you need to appeal to every female's self esteem. Ugh.

Good quick listen

Would you try another book from Lexi Blake and/or Ryan West?

I like the series, but I think a full book is much better

If you’ve listened to books by Lexi Blake before, how does this one compare?

Too short to really develop the story

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Ryan West did a good job

Did Sanctum inspire you to do anything?
