Editing, please!

The story was okay, but the narrator was terrible. Bad sound editing made it worse. Far too many instances of the narrator stopping mid sentence after an error, then starting the sentence over. Very distracting.

loved the book so I wanted to listen to it as well.
I loved all brina Brady's books. a must read if you liked one you'll like them all.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves MM. The characters are easily bonded with. Brina is a very talented writer and the book flows so well. It's hard to stop once you start!

Brennen, we have a lot in common. I can feel what Brennen feels and understand why he feels that way.

The ending, I don't want to give it away.

I liked hearing this book because it is one of my favorites and I have read it 3 times but to hear it was an entire different experience. I loved the accents too!

It's alright.

I listened to Rent Me by Brina Brday, narrated by James Talbot. I think this story would have been better and I would have enjoyed it more, if it had been narrated by a different person. There were too many times where the narrator made a mistake, stopped mid sentence, then started the sentence over again. OR the same phrase was repeated two and three times. There were even times when the narrator had cleared his throat during recording and it was never edited out.

As I said, I liked Brennan and Dmitri well enough and the story seemed interesting. I just kept being pulled out of it with each issue that came up with the narrator.

A steamy BDSM opposites attract!

This was a steamy BDSM medium angst romance.

A torrid affair between a a Russian mobster and a Rent boy? This one was absolutely hot, passionate and sexy.
It touches upon themes of culture and the prejudices faced by being out and proud.
Brennan was such a sweet and relatable character and I really felt for him.

James Talbot did an exceptional audio delivery on this one.

Loved it

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.

painful listening

it took forever to finish this book. I had to force myself to get through each chapter because of the narrator. I stopped listening 8 times and started another listen. since I do not like to leave books unfinished, I persevered. Narrators voice had a trembling quality which made the characters sound like nervous wrecks. (not to mention the false starts. throat clearing and mispronunciations, ) the book started out good and showed promise, but narration was so awful the characters came off as a big dysfunctional family. the characters seemed so immature for their ages. The punishments and tortures were very disciptive, yet the romance/sex/smex wasnt and felt rushed. ike the saying goes. a narrator can make or break a story. this was broken beyond repair. this may be a spoiler but I think the ending sucked..It did not due the book justice. I was going to give this author another chance but the more I think about it, I'm not. too many loose ends, poor character development.

Great!

This was the first book I read by Brina Brady and I feel in love with her writing. I love that she was able to bring Brennan and Dimitri to life in the first book on Audible. Their story is so great. A must have for any Brina Brady fan. Wonderful !!

Story a definite FIVE STAR must read.

I don't even know why it took me so long to get to this series, but I'm definitely binge reading it this weekend. The two MC's drove me crazy with their up and down crazy relationship, at the same time I could feel the love and devotion they had with one another. At times I wanted to smack Brennan upside the head for his childish selfish ways, and at times I wanted to feed him cocoa and cookies and tell him it'll be alright. Dimitri was patience personified, because I don't know if I'd have had the same with Brennan. I could feel his internal conflict with wanting to protect Brennan while at the same time having to put up a front for the sake of their safety. All in all FIVE HUGE STARS, and I can't wait to read the rest.

As for the narrator a definite TWO STAR . To me he sounded like the old man in the 1980's (yes I'm dating myself.. Lol) Pepperidge Farm cookies commercials. NOT the voice of a sexy 21 year old, and definitely NOT the voice of a hot sexy Russian mobster. It made listening to the story a bit tedious. Hopefully the rest of the series will make it to audiobook with a different narrator. May I suggest Dorian Bane, he'd make this series as hot as he does all the others he narrates.

Review of Rent me

Though I love the M/M genre in general, there are some aspects of kink I am not familiar with and not comfortable with. After trying to get into this, and the second book already in my library I find the sub/dom kink is not my cup of tea. The narrators reading was fine but not the subject matter. It made me cringe, sorry.
