Publisher's Summary

When Mephisto's friend Clayton is called out of town on business, he agrees to look after his slave for the week. But Molly isn't your average slave. She and Clayton share a serious, full-time dynamic. Mephisto feels a weight of responsibility he isn't used to, and worse, an intense attraction to Molly, the partner of his friend.
Mephisto is determined to sublimate his inappropriate desires and provide a challenging and instructive week for the devoted slave. He subjects Molly to orgasm denial, speech restriction, scenes of erotic torment, even an orgy where she is made to service his friends. Along the way, he experiences unfamiliar jealousy, and deep cravings to possess her himself.
Throughout the week, he is also haunted by persistent questions. Is she happy being a 24/7 slave? Or is there another Molly trapped beneath her submissive, surrendered gaze?
If you've listened to Club Mephisto, you know this story from Molly's perspective. Now, prepare to relive the experience from Mephisto's point of view.

Mephisto's POV

This is a gritty story of people living the Master/slave lifestyle. As such, it's edgier than romance or erotica books that dip their toes in the BDSM pool or even those with a more realistic view of it that are heavily focused on love and romance. It's much more like The Marketplace than it is The Crossfire Series. It's well-written and held my interest, though I can't say it was a feel-good read or even one with an HEA. I think that, for what it is, it's fantastic, though in general, it's not the kind of book I listen to very often.

RJS has a the right tone and voice for this type of audiobook. There isn't much in the way of female dialogue, but he does a believable job with those parts and doesn't sound like a guy trying to imitate a woman's voice. He performs with a depth of emotion and nuance which results in the audiobook being an enhancement of the book experience, as opposed to (I'm sorry) far too many narrators that end up turning the listener off the work of the author by not giving it enough of their attention. He didn't just read the words, he delivered them in the way I believe the author intended.

I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review. The number of stars is based on where I believe this audiobook rates with other audiobooks of the same type, length and general feel-- not where it rates in comparison to all audiobooks of all time.
