Publisher's Summary

Holly, 21, has just started to work in Hollywood, and Joyce, 36, welcomes Holly into her luxurious LA home. With her husband travelling on business, Joyce enjoys having someone to pamper - a sumptuous Chinese meal, a shoulder-rub, breakfast in bed. But when Joyce brings Holly muffins and coffee one morning, Holly smiles and throws off the bed covers. Dressed only in skimpy white undies and a bra, the beautiful blonde woman invites Joyce to join her for a picnic on top of her double bed. Uncomfortably distracted by Holly's fit body, light blue eyes, and flirtatious behavior, Joyce is soon receiving a string of compliments of her own - on her hair, her skin, her eyes, even her full breasts. Increasingly hot and flustered, Joyce begins to wonder what it would be like slowly to undress the beautiful young woman in front of her.

Different

More intricate than any of her previous stories this selection spends less time on erotica and more time on a setup as good or better than many books labeled as Romance. It relates an age difference romance between an older woman and the daughter of an old friend. Though this a cliche among both straight and gay writers the growing relationship is well told and creates an inevitability about the two ladies.
I loved this story and though I can't imagine 'gettin freaky' with any of my mother's friends, like most young lesbians I went through a period of fascination with women significantly older than I was. In most cases it was if not an outright mistake, then it was a temporary, short lived alternative to one night hookups; except for one. I had a six month relationship with a woman two years older than my mother that changed me in so many ways; I treasure that time in my life and all that I learned from her. It's possible that because of that I related to this story a bit too much so much so I've overrated it; to me it's a wonderful listen, you decide.
