Publisher's summary

Rachel Lamb is on the run from the law. She is exhausted, hungry, and down to her last few hundred dollars after meandering for nearly six months from Miami to Slick Rock, Colorado. She applies for the position of secretary at the sheriff's department and sends up an alert when she asks to be paid cash in hand.

Sheriff Damon Osborn is horrified when he inadvertently learns what has happened to Rachel and vows to protect her with his life. He offers her a place to stay, knowing his brothers will be as attracted to the small woman as he is. The three Osborn brothers, Damon, Tyson, and Sam, have recently finished serving as marines and vow to keep Rachel safe using all their military training. Rachel is kidnapped. Her life is in the balance. Will the three Osborn men save her in time? Or will justice fall by the wayside?

Narrator

Did not enjoy this narrator. Voice was too deadpan. No emotion. Would have enjoyed more if I had read a hard copy .

Young damsel in distress & 3 creepy horny brothers

Young 20 something damsel in distress that witness a murder meet older 30 something brothers that were in the military but have settle in a community where 3 guys & one girl is the norm. Some reason all the brothers can get women but they want just ONE to SHARE. They find a 22yo girl in an extremely vulnerable situation & take advantage. It gets all tied up in a bow at the end. I wonder if 10 years later when the young 22 is 32 or 42 with stretch marks and saggy boobs will they still be IN LOVE with her.. interesting fantasy. Love the reader southern accent.

Love this town

The town of Slick Rock is a very open minded town when it comes to relationships. Damon, Tyson, and Sam are perfect for Rachel. Rachel is on the run and needs help. Her men are there to take care of her. The narration is well done and enhances the story.

A modern "Damsel in Destress" story

What made the experience of listening to Her Ex-Marines the most enjoyable?

The freedom it provided me. I listened to the story while doing housework. I let mind creat the images allowing me to submerge myself in an audio film and get my housework done at the same time. It's amazing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Her Ex-Marines?

I would be very happy to tell you but they are very ... hot and I don't think it's allowed on this website.

Have you listened to any of Ravyn Knight’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this is the first one.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was enjoyable and very "detail oriented" for some scenes, I for one am not complaining. It did give me a fuzzy feeling in a nice way at the end.

Any additional comments?

I will be listening to this one again.
