Publisher's summary

Rock star Harley Payne seems to have it all. Skyrocketing career. More money than he'll ever need. And women. Lots and lots of women. But "seems" is the operative word. Because beneath the material trappings of his fame, Harley is deeply in pain.

Reeling from the death of his soldier brother, and apparently nonexistent to his parents, every day is an emotional battle for Harley. When Mac Collins, owner of Mac's Security, puts Achilles Castellanos squarely into Harley's orbit as a bodyguard, Harley's world tips on its axis in more ways than one. Under the huge bodyguard's surveillance 24/7, Harley's love life takes a nose dive. Surprisingly, Harley doesn't care because he's starting to realize his bodyguard has become to mean more to him than just muscle.

Former Delta Force leader Achilles Castellanos lost an entire team, as well as his first love, in an ambush in Ramadi. Clawing his way back to the surface has been hell, but Achilles' iron will has dragged him from the depths of despair. Achilles can't miss the crippling pain that shadows his new charge, heavy metal band member Harley Payne. What began as just another bodyguard job has become his very reason for breathing when Achilles finds himself falling for the rambunctious Harley.

Sparks fly when the men travel to Greece, but a startling revelation could ruin everything before Aphrodite even gets a chance to give them her blessing.

Reading is believing

I couldn't wait to get to this story, I was hoping that Harley would get his HEA after everything that had gone on in his life. Achilles was a perfect match and I absolutely loved the plain ride😉 . Can't wait for more, I love listening while doing housework or driving to work!!

Rough narration

I have enjoyed this series, but this book was a disapointment. It did not flow as well. I thought the sorry line was rushed, situations were not developed. The dialog was choppy and the narrator made it worse. This just isn't how people talk to each other. I won't purchase this narrator again.

Harley's Happy Ending

I was looking forward to reading Harley's story and was not dissapointed. The HEA was awesome and the devotion and backstory for Achilles was full and sweet. I definitely suggest this book in whichever format.

Fun sequel

By this point in the series we’ve already met Achilles – he’s a silent bodyguard with a deep soul and Harley – one of the rocers who has his own sad story and has always been thought of as straight. (As is Achilles.)

It turns out that Achilles knew Harley’s brother and this pushes the two more closely together.

In this story we get an evil family, some mystery and drama, a harrowing life save and some sweet feels and hot smexy times!

**
In this case the love story is a sweet and fairly low-angst one. The drama comes more from outside sources but in the end the couple remains strong with one another.

I really enjoyed seeing the earlier couples and seeing the band move forward in their lives – both the London Boys and the Skull Blasters.

I thought their time with Achilles family was really sweet and I really look forward to more from this series!

Audio
Klaus didn’t do a lot to differentiate between Achilles and Harley but you can tell who is speaking at all times. The rest of the characters with their British accents are pretty great and I liked listening to this just as much as books one and two.

I like his take on dialog better than his “storytelling” but he definitely makes this an easy book to listen to.
