It may be better to have loved and lost twice than never loved at all, but it sure as hell gets lonely. Jamison Severs is sitting in a bar contemplating his past as a failed lover, failed doctor, failed drunkard, and a fading old man, trying to find a reason not to lift that glass. Then a beautiful blonde boy walks in the door, bringing reminders of Jamie's past with him. Meeting the son of Jamie's former lover, Toller, brings back the good old days, and the bad. And maybe it's finally time for Jamie to come to terms with all the things that brought him and Toller together, and the things that broke them apart.

This Is A Gay Romance NOT My Typical Genre
I should not have *agreed to listen in exchange for review*, as this is WAY outside of my comfort zone. One who enjoys this genre would be better to critique any changes.
The publisher summary is pretty detailed, so anything that I add might spoil. I hate spoilers so I guess my review stops here, of the book.
Holden Madagame's narration was very good, although all of the main characters were male. I was unable to judge his range beyond that. I was able to differentiate between the characters with ease. A teenage boy, a 60 older man & a 40 something-year-old man. Within this range he showed that he could create unique voices, recognizable voices within the characters given him. Four stars
If this were a movie it would be rated R, if the intimate scenes were removed or left to the imagination PG-13. No, I would have no interest in seeing it. However, those who enjoy listening to or reading in this genre would.
Notes: this is not my usual reading material, *I was given a copy of this book to listen to in exchange for my review. This is a gay erotic novel and written as such. Mature themes
