Publisher's summary

This is a plus--sized novel that is about 130,000 words long.

Lissa is madly in love with Saber and it seems he returns her feelings but she has a problem. She and the man of her dreams both come from the same clan of the Touch Kindred. By the archaic laws of their people, they are too closely related to be bonded. Which means that even though there is no blood tie between them, they are doomed to remain apart.

But their personal dilemmas will soon be the least of their worries. Sacred scrolls, vital to the defense of the Kindred people, have been stolen and sold to a collector on the barbaric slave planet, Yonnie Six. To retrieve them, Lissa and Saber must go undercover as mistress and slave on the savage world where domination, submission, and kinky sex are the order of the day. Will the love between them survive this trial by fire? Or will Lissa lose everything and be Exiled from the one person she loves above all others?

Annoyed with Lissa

I love all of the Kindred book series so far. But the character Lissa, she was annoying and whiny. This is the only character that I couldn't stand. I hope no more are like her. I enjoyed all of the other books written by Evangeline Anderson.

Book bog

The book is good the most annoying thing is the narration. The worst is the whisper for thoughts. It's so darn annoying it super close to being a book I would rather read than listen to. Trust me it has to be very bad for me to do that.

STOP THE WHISPERING ALREADY

I loved this series when I read it. I decided to listen to it in audible this time around. The reader ruined this book for me with all the WHISPERING. gah!

Stop the whispering PLEASE!

Love these books but the narrator whispering the thoughts of the characters is driving me nuts. He’s wonderful with the individual voices but the whispering makes me cringe every time he does it. The stories are entertaining and I will probably still listen to them but please narrator STOP THE WHISPERING

Lissa was too whiney

My one complaint about this story is Lissa. She was annoying and to whiney. I loved Draven and L. The whole switching was great! I really do love the character Merrick as well!

HOT!

Lissa and Saber have their work cut out for them when they must play role reversal and it goes against their nature. Lissa did seemed a bit too reluctant to play the part, even as she knew it could save lives. Overall, I loved the story and it is a sexy story for sure. I especially loved the freaky Friday moments, best part of the book. I laughed extremely hard when Baird and Olivia switched bodies. I did feel that Elle’s and Draven story could have been a book, and the conclusion to the lead up seemed too fast. I look forward to more books, hurry up Audible and get the rest of the series. The narrator is sexy in his normal voice, but I’m not a fan of his female voices.

Great Story

Kindred Bride series is a series I don’t think I will ever get tired of. I just love Lissa and Saber’s story. I can not imagine being raised together, falling in love, and then knowing you can never be together for it is forbidden. Though Lissa and Saber were never blood related but because they were of the same clan, their clan looked at them as brother and sister.

Though I read the book years ago I recently went and listen to the audio.. Now I loved the male narrator’s voice but there was one issue I had. The only issue I had was when he read the thoughts that someone was having the narrator would whisper the part and it was almost hard to hear. That would be my only complaint when it came to the narrator.

WOW, I can only imagine the fear that Lissa was feeling when it cam to having to go to Yonnie Six. It was were the women were very dominate and men were slaves. It could be a very curel and dangerous place. Lissa and Saber will have their challengers that is for sure.

I find Saber very interesting character due to the fact he is a Touch Kindred. Picture these invisible fingers touching you all over as well has his real hands. Oh, the things he could do. Yeah, I found it so freaking hot.

I love the chemistry between Saber and Lissa. Things will get pretty hot and steamy between these two. They will have a few road blocks along the way but these two will find their way.

The Kindred on the mothership will have a close mind when it comes to the male Touch Kindred but I love the fact the other Kindreds will get to see what the Touch Kindred are really like and learn to have a new respect for them.

This was a great story and glad I got a chance to not only read the book but listen to the audio as well.

It would be better with a different narrator

I love Evangeline’s Brides of the Kindred series but had a hard time with the “whispered” parts where the narrator is speaking in the characters internal voice. It was so creepy and annoying I almost couldn’t finish the book. Hopefully this will not continue because if it does that will be a hard pass for me!

Beast Mode

What in the seven hells? Can anyone say “Beast Mode?” This book is so good. The different stories going on at the same time. William did a good job with characters as usual. Evangeline has a wild imagination, love it!
