Slow start, but the take off is 'REAL'!!!!

I am a big fan of EJD. some may argue that he is overly descriptive, but I love his ability to paint pictures for me. Often when I read his work a movie plays before my eyes. I will say that it did take some time to get to the action, but when it got there it did not lack. This read also touched on the injustices that are plaguing the U.S. today. Although the ending was solid there is room to make this a series. EJD, please keep me posted on these characters!!!!

Never a dull moment.

A very exciting book. Loved the knowledge and details of African history. Loved the was the characters evolved. The narration was amazing and riveting. Big fan of Mr. Dickey!

Action and Love

Enjoyed the action and love story. If there is another book for the series, it should feature Margo's life and true reasoning for bleaching and her growth and maturity after having the baby. And it's confirmed the baby is actually the ex-boyfriend's.

EJD Never Disappoints

Really enjoyed this book. I loved that he goes out of his way to bring current events into the storyline. This in my opinion keeps his books relevant. Great read!

Edgy, sensual and relevant

I am an Eric Jerome Dickey fan. So this review is written with a bit of prejudice. I anticipated a lot of hot juicy sex scenes, as in some previous works. However, I was on edge with a climatic yet heart throbbing storyline. The social touch points were relevant and appreciated. I fell in love with the characters. I need to see more of them.

I've been an EJD fan since I was a teenager! As a working wife with 2 boys now, sometimes I need an escape for my mind and EJD & Dion Graham did not disappoint! Amazing start to finish! That voice 🤤
