The author, Marguerite de Lyon, of A Beginner's Guide to BDSM, takes the listener through a guided explanation of the world of BDSM, commonly known as Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism. This is a combined steamy novel and exploratory guide, so each explanatory section is accompanied by a fun, sexy story, where the author shares her own erotic memoirs to highlight her various learnings. As the author realizes something was missing from an otherwise fulfilling sex life, she explores the notion, introducing the idea of BDSM to her husband, Phillip. Even though Phillip is comfortable with watching porn, he realizes this subject is an area he had considered off-limits with his wife. After several conversations, husband and wife start to explore their sexuality further, realizing BDSM is something which increases their intimacy and love for each other. The book includes subjects such as pain, bondage, limits, safety and other tools/toys to introduce into a BDSM session; interspersed with revealingly naughty stories to entice the listener into a different world of sex and bringing a completely different dimension to erotica. A must-listen for listeners of all levels of interest and experience of BDSM and erotica in general and, when combined with sexy stories, this audiobook will certainly raise the temperature!

Steamy and Educational - A Good Mix!
The background of BDSM. For a beginner, the author gives you not only the knowledge of how to introduce BDSM into your bedroom but also a full understanding of what it is.
The psychology of BDSM and how to introduce the idea to your partner. It is not just another how to book but a true guide.
I found Sierra Kline's voice to be captivating and appropriate for the subject matter.
No extremes - just a better understanding of BDSM.
I highly recommend this audiobook to the anyone looking for a better understanding of BDSM.

A great Entry-Level Course on BDSM
The author was so candid; had a respectable home life and all that; but just needed some kind of extra kinkiness to feel complete. She also walks people through who may not have all the facts straight about the arts of BDSM, and how to proceed gracefully from the ground level.
She manages to ease her husband into her secret kinky desires at the dinner table, just the two of them, and pulls it off with great aplomb.
No, this may be may first one so far. I have only one other narrator of erotica to compare her to, and Sierra could easily stand toe to toe with her.
Not anything extreme, some of the instruments described reminded me of a vacation trip I took to a famous torture museum in London where I got to see all these bad -a** looking implements used in the medieval times. Of course, the "tools of the trade" that Marguerite talks about are harmless by comparison.
I am glad I also learned what BDSM actually stands for-I had heard the major words before, but not explained in this level of depth.
