Arabian Nights...like Arabian Days...this book brings back the child in me. I always loved the Arabian nights stories, from Ali Baba and the 40 thieves right down to Aladdin. Yes, I have watched the Disney cartoon a million times and loved it. Alana Melos has taken this classic set of stories and spiced it up...a lot! She has skillfully woven in a series of well written erotic scenes so well, that for someone who isn't familiar with the tales would think it is the original. It is a scorching hot listen and will make you look for more of Melos's retellings.
The choice of Sierra Kline is ideal for this set of stories. Kline has a wonderful way of adding the perfect inflection for each situation. She has a lustful voice and is able to easily switch between the male and female exchanges. Love her for erotic listens.

A raunchy retelling of the old folk tale – 1001 Arabian Nights. I loved the original story and studied it story years ago for drama so was interested to see what would be made of this one.
THE GOOD STUFF
I wasn’t sure what I’d think of this story when I began listening to it. But I was happy to find that the stories had been redone by Meols perfectly. It wasn’t the exact same story, Melos had mixed them up by tweaking one or two and then completely making others her own. However, she kept the initial story of Scheherazade and the Sultan very similar, which I think was a very good touch.
The choice of Sierra Kline as the narrator was perfect. She has a lovely sultry voice that really works with the stories.
NOT MY CUP OF TEA
Some points I did find a little hard because bits of the story weren’t very paced, so after one raunchy scene, there was another a few minutes after.
I lost count of the times in each story that the word ‘wanton’ was mentioned too. It became a mental game.
