Publisher's Summary

The four great comedies of Oscar Wilde, Lady Windermere's Fan, A Woman of No Importance, An Ideal Husband and The Importance of Being Earnest, were all written at the height of the controversial Irish author's powers in his last, doomed decade, the 1890s. They remain among the most-loved, and most-quoted, of all drama in the English language. Along with Salome, his darkly decadent dramatization of the Bible story, these immortal plays continue to pack theatres, and have been adapted for every kind of media.

Terrific Narration! Loved the Narrator!

What did you love best about The Importance of Being Earnest?

The play is such a classic and the narrator does a superb job bringing this play to life.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Algernon...seriously the narrator kills it!

What does Carson Beck bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His different character voices and his style make this audio book one that I will definitely listen to at some point...again

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Keep it the same, and give this narrator a role in it!
