4-line poem?

this was advertised as a short story, in its entirely. it was not supposed to be as a free sample. this product is mostly music accompaniment for the majority of the 3 minutes, interrupted with 4 lines of verse only. 4 lines of verse doe snot a short story make.

Is This Really A Book?!?

Would you try another book from D. C. Morehouse and/or Vanessa MacDonald?

If they're all 15 seconds long with 2 minutes of music, I might not.

Has The Elephant and the Castle turned you off from other books in this genre?

It has not made me dislike children's books.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She sounded like she just wanted to hurry up and get her 15 seconds done with.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Elephant and the Castle?

How can you cut a scene, when the reading was less than 20 seconds?!?

Any additional comments?

I wasn't impressed with this "book".

Only music

This was only played 2 minutes of pixilated music for me, not the best intro to Audible.

Music and one sentence

Very disappointed. I always get a hold of any kids books I can and review them to ru and help the author. Was very disappointed in the fact that this "story" was nothing but music and one sentence.

Too short To consider

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

It should have been presented with additional materials
Maybe it would be enjoyed more in a visual format

What was most disappointing about D. C. Morehouse’s story?

It was only 4 lines long

What does Vanessa MacDonald bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

While i appreciate her voice, I don't think it made the experience more enjoyable

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I actually liked the music.

Any additional comments?

I am afraid I was disappointed overall

Short "story", as in 17 seconds of speaking

This is really, really short. More of a kids poem than an actual story, and consisting of only a few lines. The entire reading lasts from 1:12 to 1:29, with simple music filling out the rest of the time. The narrator did an OK job given what little she had to work with.

A poem

What disappointed you about The Elephant and the Castle?

I enjoy poetry of all types; because all poetry has a voice of its own.
the length could have been extended a bit to invite the reader beyond the door.

What could D. C. Morehouse have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Well, I know that most poetry books are not very extensive in length to begin with; it could have presented with more than one poem.

What didn’t you like about Vanessa MacDonald’s performance?

The voice reading was good.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I never said that I didn't like the poem. Again everyone has their own voice. I would encourage the author to keep pressing forward even if this is your first attempt. You have to gain 'courage' to just put your work out there and 'prepare' yourself for the critics as well as the rave reviews.

Any additional comments?

I believe in the first amendment, everyone has a right to express themselves.
And everyone has their own voice; so let your voice...speak!

There's an Elephant with a Castle on His Head.

... and a pigeon.

There, you heard it!

There's nothing else to say about this. Don't bother having it take up space in your library.
