Excellent

For some reason I was especially touched by this book. As usual Teri Schnaubell turns in a fantastic performance and the plot was fun.

Any additional comments?

This story was a little slow for me to get into but once I got into it, I couldn't put it down. I experienced very happy and sad moments during the story and the end was the most amazing end to this story. Making it my headline. Death by Roses

I enjoyed the quirky humor in this story. This tale takes a reader on the journey of life after death and then back to life again as Mae Rose dies and then comes back to life in another woman's body.

I felt sad for her husband as he tried to adjust to life with his two sons after the death of his wife.

This story had drama as well as tender and fun moments.

Book review

I didn't finish the book. Had a hard time keeping my interest. The narrator was good.

Author has a unique wit.

What did you like best about Death by Roses? What did you like least?

I liked the authors wit. It is quite hilarious. The story line is somewhat confusing until you realize that the 2 storylines will come together.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Ended as it should have.

What does Teri Schnaubelt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Teri Schnaubelt brings so much. She puts so much into each character. If you were reading it you would not have the great performance that she gives.

Do you think Death by Roses needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, I do not think it should have a follow-up book. Because where can you go from here.

We don't always appreciate what we have/who we are

If you could sum up Death by Roses in three words, what would they be?

A Second Chance...sort of

What did you like best about this story?

I actually watched an interview with author Vivian Probst. I feel like it kind of prepared me with some needed emotional background

What does Teri Schnaubelt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I must admit. I'm a Teri Schnaubelt fan. I really liked her depiction of Mary Rose and Marilee. Perfect b*tches! I wanted to throttle them in the beginning of the story. There were so many female and male characters. While Ms. Schnaubelt doesn't necessarily give each character his/her own voice, she does convey the various attitudes. It works. Ms. Schnaubelt is a fun storyteller.

If you could take any character from Death by Roses out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Art, sr...he's just so...real

Winner

I loved everything about this book. It made me laugh and it made me cry. I usually read completely different types of books and wasn't sure about this but I am so glad that I had the opportunity to listen to it. The performance is exceptional, writing is fantastic and story left me hopeful.

A little Skeptical At First

I have to admit when I started listening to this I was a little skeptical, it was a bit depressing and sad. With that said, I'm glad I pushed through the first few chapters, because this is actually a wonderful book. Following each of the characters as they work though their own personal turmoil, is a bit up lifting. Ms Probst does a great job balancing all the characters and their stories, while adding a touch of humor that keeps it from getting to dark. I do wish she had used different names though as I kept getting Mary Lee and Mae Rose confused especially when they are sharing a body.
Mae Rose and Mary Lee are both head strong, opinionated, and in their own ways unlikable, yet as the plot moves along they redeem themselves. Yet it's Mae Rose's Husband Art who really gets the short end of the stick repeatedly through the book, which I felt bad about. I enjoyed the side plot romances, which were cute and endearing. Over all it's a good book, with colorful characters and an interesting plot.
