I joyed this book, having spent time in N Dakota I understand the costumes and style of the people. Even today many of the customs are the same. N Dakota residents are very supportive once they get to know you!

Small town, big family, Love it!!
I loved it from beginning to end. I am a huge Debbie Macomber fan. I love Washington state and so her books make me feel like I'm near home. as for this book, I love the small town and the teamwork they portray. great story!!

Voice
I did not like how the voice changed between characters. The men don’t need to sound like they’re 90 always mad and backwoods. When I looked at a hard copy of the book, I did not see that gruffness almost meanness come across.
They also didn’t sound like men in their 30s they sounded 90 or older
