A Vivid and Compelling Story

As with The Call of the Wild, White Fang is an unforgettable tale. Jack London was a gifted story teller. Although parts of this story are quite disturbing, all is redeemed in the end. And the narrator does an excellent job. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes an adventure tale, as well as all the dog lovers out there.

Classic story with Peter Hudson doing it justice

First off, for the price of a dollar, you get what you pay for in my opinion. Mr. Hudson isn't the best narrator I've heard, but he's also not the worst and managed to be enigmatic and have good range where it counted.
As far as White Fang goes, you'll find within the first few chapters Jack London has earned his reputation as being able to drop readers into some of the most intense and real experiences they can imagine.
For $1, you can't go wrong with this one.

One of the best Classics...but

Jack London weaves words to create a beautiful setting. Absolutely love this novel. The narrator is solid, but is this abridged or unabridged, for Chapter 3 of Part II (I believe that is the chapter) gets cut off early. It is the chapter where One Eye watches the Lynx kill the porcupine. This part is cut out of the chapter in the audio book. Tis a bummer.

AN AWESOME STORY BROUGHT ALIVE BY A WONDERFUL NARRATION

I read “White Fang” as a child many years ago but both the story and the wolf named White Fang came alive for me in such a way by both listening and following along with the ebook in such a way that would not have been possible it I used just one way, alone. I believe that in some sort of way, in my senior years I have become learning disabled and can no longer merely read the printed word.

I have retreated to reading the works of a Jack London because I am reading Les Miserables and Victor Hugo goes off the main story line and gives us, his readers, history lessons; in this Case Napoleon’s defeat at Waterloo. I have perhaps five hours left before picking up the storyline. I downloaded one additional Jack London Work and then I will return to Les Miserables and the remaining history lesson.

At least Jack London speaks of the various “Laws” and their definitions right within the story line.

Glitchy and repeats

Peter Husmann did an awesome with this book with the exception of editing. Certain chapters repeat forcing you to constantly try to determine where you are in the story. This made it difficult to follow.

I suggest waiting until they fix the errors before downloading but other than that this is thus far my second favorite book (FYI my favorite was The Call of the Wild).
Excellent story and Perter Husmann does a perfect job reading it.

Great compliment to Call of the Wild

Overall it was a great read. Did skip a few times though. Not a problem.
