Each canto of the poem is also headed with a concise synopsis. The first volume, The Inferno, describes Dante's journey through the underworld, where unrepentent sinners are subjected to eternal punishment, the form of which is dictated by their besetting sin. Unsurprisingly, Dante's haunting vision of Hell has always had greater hold on the public imagination than have his bracing journey through Purgatory or his sojourn among the eclectic delights of Paradise.

Horrible narration

The narrator is unbearable, unintelligible, and totally incoherent. As an American Engish speaker, born in the USA, I spend 90% of my mental focus just trying to makeout the words that the narrator is speaking. This is not even including attempting to figure out how these words flow together to make a coherent sentence. In listening, simply making out the words is nearly impossible. Every character is given poor, ridiculous accents, and terrible inflections. Single syllable words are oddly dissected into multi-syllable words delivered over 2-3 seconds. This guy sounds like a painfully slower, massively less coherent version of My Fair Lady (or the country-side fellow in Hot Fuzz).

Very poor edition.

No chapter titles, slurred speech and a less than smooth reading makes this, for me, a disappointment.

this guy's voice makes me want to die and go to hell in the hopes of escaping. Denis G Daly, you've ruined a perfect thing with your horrible delivery.

This narration is the WORST I have ever heard

This narrator sounds like he is gurgling in his own neck fat and gives every character a lisp that makes half of the story unintelligible and utterly disgusting to listen to.
