Fantastic story that is timeless!

Tarzan of the apes is a timeless story that lives through the ages! The fact that this novel was written in 1912 and is still amazing and thrilling 2017 speaks to the greatness of ER Burroughs. The story is great and leaves you wanting more.

Like being a kid again.

I am a Edgar Rice Bourghs fan. I totally enjoyed hearing this story rather than reading it or watching a movie. I could get into the feel of story more and really loved it.

CALMING

The simplicity of this story has always made it my favorite. Not that the story is simple, but in the story, Tarzan’s life: The way it starts, and he ends up raised by apes. The simplicity of his life in the jungle, has always taken me away from the chaos of my own life. I wish I could stay there.

Enlightening story!

I wanted to hear the "roots" of the Tarzan mythos and this dud not disappont! The narrator took some getting used to. It felt like someone's dad who had flunked out if Harvard, but finished at Brown, had had a few Manhattans and was telling a bedtime story.

Edited?

Lots of words were changed and some sentences were taken out completely which made it hard to follow along in the book...not sure if this was fine intentionally.

Bad narration

Amazing story, terrible narration. Halting and Jerry. Couldn't stand it. Returned and got a different one

Outstanding story, terrible performance

The story is classic every American should read. Unfortunately, the reader was awful. His voice was entirely too deep and without proper inflection between characters. I had to turn down the bass in my stereo to properly hear the reader. The reader poorly read the sentences as though it was his first time reading the story.

Narrated by Microsoft Sam

The narration completely ruined this book. The narrator has a monotone voice, and his timing is off. Slight pauses mid sentence.
