Publisher's Summary

The one thing Mrs. Bennett most dearly wants is to see her five daughters settled. When wealthy bachelor Mr. Bingley moves in to nearby Netherfield Hall and takes an interest in her eldest daughter, Jane, her dream is almost within her grasp. Yet problems arise when Bingley's friend, the prideful Mr. Darcy, meddles in their relationship, earning him the disdain of Jane's sister, Elizabeth. However, Mr. Darcy can't help finding a match in the intelligent, free-spirited Lizzy Bennett, despite her country manners.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is a delightful portrayal of middle-class families in Regency England - a witty comedy of manners that shows the foolishness of judging by first impressions.

Classic Beautifully Presented

I received a copy for a voluntary and honest review.

Pride and Prejudice is a clever interesting story of the Bennett girls..their flighty mother, clever father who loves to play word games with his wife and of course the girls, Lizzy and Darcy!
Not an easy room to love...manners, hierarchy of the social status.
The dialogue is incredible and the narrator is absolute fantastic. The emotion timing and delivery of the story was perfect!

A Classic with a Classy Interpretation

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

I can never tire of listening to the various versions of this classic. It is always such a treat especially if the interpretation well stands up to the content. This was such an enjoyable performance that rediscovering this classic made it as exciting as the first time I read the book eons ago. I always love to listen to audiobooks that I have read before to see how the narrator interprets them and how they vary from my interpretation. I was so pleased to have found in Shiromi Arserio a kindred spirit. If you love this book, you'll love this version.
