Publisher's Summary

Of Man's first disobedience, and the fruit
Of that forbidden tree whose mortal taste
Brought death into the World, and all our woe,
With loss of Eden, till one greater Man
Restore us, and regain the blissful seat,
Sing, Heavenly Muse, that, on the secret top
Of Oreb, or of Sinai, didst inspire
That shepherd who first taught the chosen seed
In the beginning how the heavens and earth
Rose out of Chaos: or, if Sion hill
Delight thee more, and Siloa's brook that flowed
Fast by the oracle of God, I thence
Invoke thy aid to my adventurous song,
That with no middle flight intends to soar
Above th' Aonian mount, while it pursues
Things unattempted yet in prose or rhyme.

Wonderful interpretation

I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.
The great narrative brought out the flavors of Milton's poetic prose. Beautifully produced. Very subtle assist to the characters voices gave a special chill to the evil ones.

A true work of art

Paradise Lost was required reading for me as a high school student and it was totally lost on the teenage me. The adult me decided to revisit this literary classic. I am so glad I did. This is a truly powerful piece of work that sparks so many thoughts, feelings, and strong opinions. It is intense content but well worth the listen. The narration is amazing and makes the poem a true story, coherent, easy to follow, and intriguing. I highly recommend this audio book!
