Publisher's Summary

One of the hobbies of Charles Lindley Wood, 2nd Viscount Halifax, was the collection of gruesome tales of the supernatural. Good stories ....

l agree the narration isn't the best; the narration sounds very monotonous and whiney, so if your easily irritated this book will not be for you. The book would sound better narrated by someone such as Peter Yearsly.
l however, persevered with this book and found that after several stories the narration didn't seem to bother me as much.
