A classic poem wonderfully narrated.

Would you listen to If again? Why?

Definitely, it is a wonderfully inspirational poem. It was given to my husband a long time ago by his father and has been his favourite poem ever since. It hangs in our office and I love it too, it was really nice to hear it narrated.

Which character – as performed by Phillip J. Mather – was your favorite?

Phillip J. Mather's quintessentially British voice is perfect for the narration, it epitomises the true British strength of character. Rudyard Kipling's inspiration for this poem was Leander Starr Jameson a man whose characteristics Rudyard recommended young people to live by, all those years ago.. However, the words he wrote still ring true today.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found Phillip J Mather's narration sent shivers down my spine and made me proud to be British.

Classic poem beautifully narrated

I love this poem for its timeless power to provoke the same reaction. I always feel like I’ve been picked up by my boot straps and reminded of who I can be. Phillip J. Mather is the perfect narrator for this landmark poem that everyone should hear and own to play again and again. A very special recording.
