Publisher's Summary

If you want to learn Spanish:

So I’m an american living in Spain as an au pair. I’m absurdly busy so I don’t have much time for watching Spanish movies and stuff. This audio (and I imagine many of the classics produced by the same company) is absurdly helpful! As far as I can tell the Spanish is castallano (Spanish from Spain) which is very clear and no colloquialisms that I could tell. It has helped me immensely with Spanish listening skills. HOWEVER: I have an important note about the sound effects. Yes, they help set the scene quite a lot when you don’t know what’s going on. Carriage sounds, pen on paper, scary music all help with understanding what’s going on. But I took off a star because whoever did the editing made the sound effects way to loud. Usually it was ok but once or twice I missed whole conversations because I couldn’t hear over the music. That being said, overall the sound effects help more than hurt. I can’t really comment on the story because my Spanish isn’t good enough yet. I plan to relisten to it until I understand. I recommend reading the Wikipedia page before hand if your Spanish is rusty.

This is a great dramatised version of Bram Stoker's classic tale of Count Dracula en español!
