Fantastic continuation of the story

I've loved all the stories in this series, with the standalone qualities that are important, but the recurring characters that are just irresistible. This story has all the sweetness of a teenage crush coupled with the big-girl panties of making your own way. I only deduct one star because it was so short! More like a novella.

A great romantic comedy!

This was a fun, easy to listen to story (I did the audio version). There may not have been a whole lot of substantial conflict in it, except for the tension between Seth and Giovani, but I think the story was meant to be lighthearted and certainly not deep and serious. If that's what you're looking for, look somewhere else instead of reading this.
Coco comes back from working as a doctor for Doctors Without Borders to discover that her old flame, who rejected her years ago, is going to be right up in her face. Awkward! Seth cares deeply for her and must try to convince her that she's in love with him and not the guy named Giovani (Seth calls him the Italian Jesus) who's already proposed to her.
The narration by Pam Dougherty was superb! I love the smoothness of her voice and the humor and perfect timing of the lines. This was a very enjoyable experience all the way around!

Sassy and funny!

This story was so good! I loved how Coco comes back home after running away from a bad experience with young love and finds that you can go home, but can you deal with your family? Seth was 'it' for Coco, but when she finally builds up her courage, he treats her like a little sister. Humiliated, she moves on and tries to erase the whole thing. This story is sweet, combined with even parts, sexy, sassy, and funny. There are such hilarious moments interspersed throughout the story and I found myself laughing out loud during them. Coco's family is terrific and add so much to the story. Really enjoyed how Coco's family is there for her, even when she doesn't want them to be! Great story and the narrator is a good choice.

I liked the book

I liked the book and it was really engaging, however...the narration wasn't what I expected. I'll explain why - I've never heard the narrator before and this book's description had me thinking that it was about someone who's about in their late twenties and then you get a narrator who sounds like they're at least fifty or sixty. I might be wrong, but if I am then I'll be shocked. The story was strong, the plot was fine but the narration kept pulling me out of the story. This would have been better for a mystery or suspense novel but not this genre. So while it was good....I just don't know what to make of what I heard. I might go into it later with a more open mind and see if I can relisten and make a different opinion but I just don't think it will change.

Great Series!

This is a great book; this is the fifth book in the Lone Stars series written by Katie Graykowski. Coco Robbins has spent the last fifteen years falling out of love with Seth Charming. What started out as a schoolgirl crush, grew into a full-fledged fantasy. Too bad, he had no idea she even existed. Now as an orthopedic surgeon who’s spent the last four years working with Doctors Without Borders, she ran halfway around the world to get away from Seth only to find herself right back where she started. Seth Charming is the quarterback of the Super Bowl winning Texas Lone Stars. He has the world at his feet, several women at his side, and all the fame and fortune he could ever want. Only something’s missing. He wants a family. Unfortunately, he has yet to meet the right woman. When Coco Robbins strolls back into Seth’s life, he knows immediately that she’s the one he’s been waiting for, only now he has to convince her that she’s in love with him. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. The narrator did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Great Listen!

This book is a standalone listen and part of a series. I had not listened to the previous books in the series, and I immediately fell in love with Coco and Seth. I loved the character Grace too! Coco is a doctor who returned to the Austin, Texas area after serving with Doctors Without Borders. The descriptions in this book added so much character development and layers of their personalities. Coco and Seth had been an item in high school and went their own paths. I loved how they re-united and his persistence in dating her. Seth had competition, and it was a fun journey hearing what he did. Without giving away spoilers, the ending was wonderful. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. Katie Graykowski is a very talented author. She added humor with realistic details and vibrant imagery to the story. Pam Dougherty added much enjoyment to the story with her various character voices and emotions. They are a winning team. I will definitely listen to more books by both author and narrator.
