Publisher's summary

After an 11-year-old Kimberly Guilfoyle lost her mother to leukemia, her dad wanted her to become as resilient as she could be. He wisely taught her to build a solid case for the things she wanted. Creating a strong logical argument was the best way to ensure that she could always meet her needs. That childhood lesson led her to become the fearless advocate and quick-thinking spitfire she is today.

Learning how to state your case effectively is not just important for lawyers - it's something every person should know how to do, no matter what stage of life they are in. From landing her dream job right out of school, switching careers seamlessly midstream, and managing personal finances for greater growth and stability to divorcing amicably and teaching her young child to advocate for himself, Guilfoyle has been there and done it. Now she shares those stories, showing you how to organize your thoughts and plans, have meaningful discussions with the people around you, and achieve your goals in all aspects of your life. You'll also learn the tips and strategies that make the best advocates so successful, some of which come directly from courtroom scenarios where the stakes are highest.

As good as it gets.

An amazing story by a true hero. People like K G are few, but they're out there. She is a gift to the human race. If more people could be half what she is the world would be a better place. Learn something from her story and practice it in you life. You will be a better person for it.

A How-to for millennials

While all if it was true and good advice, I found it to be very basic. That said, great reading for America’s youth.

Genuinely authentic and inspiring!

So enjoyed listening to Kimberly sharing her own story of developing her skills and talents for personal advocacy in "Making the Case". Her personal example has definitely left an indelible imprint upon my own heart. I can only hope that I learn from her confidence, to better develop that needful skill set for successful planning and preparation in my own life's endeavors and relationships. I can only hope to incorporate her wit and wisdom from all those lessons that she's learned from her father and others who have mentored her and then through "Trial and Error" apply them in "Making the Case" to better advocate for myself in my life with others I deal with. For me, I'd say his audible version of her book was like having the chance to sit down together with Kimberly for a one on one 6 hour conversation and then soaking in all the benefits of a mentor and blessings of getting to know her much like a close friend.

Must Read

This is one book that should be in your arsenal for success in life. I loved that Kimberly talked this audio version. It was like she was sitting next to me in the car having a conversation. Wish I had discussion with her many years ago. Awesome Lady. Must read or listen book.

Inspiring, Motivational, and Entertaining

Finished this in one sitting as it was amazing. I learned a lot and felt inspired to be my best self each and everyday. Kimberly Guilfoyle, is a strong and determined woman! This a great book for everyone but especially empowers women to be uunapologetically fearless and brave in all avenues and aspects of life. As a woman pursuing a legal profession, it was wonderful how she not only talked about the progression of her legal career but her journey every step of the way. Great book!

If you're 20 and need advice...

I think Guilfoyle is an amazing, intelligent voice on "The Five" and I was expecting so much more than this book delivered. Description didn't indicate this was a self-help for Millenials. So disappointing. Maybe she will write another and tell us about her life; I'm sure it's fascinating.

Love this Book!!!!

I genuinely love this timeless classic book Kimberly Guilfoyle has written!!!! I just bought her actual book as well. Kimberly is a kind, intelligent and awesome person! I have met her in person where she cares about issues that have occurred due to the pandemic. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their life. Probably one of the best books I have ever read. She does so much and deserves the recognition as a female in her field. I love her and Kim's great work that she does to help people. Love Making the Case Book for life!!!!
