Fantastic listen!

I love this series! So glad to finally get to hear Steve and Adrielle’s story, they were both due for their happiness. Love the narrator too, he has done the entire series and has made all of the books a pleasure to listen to. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Highly Improbable BUT Enjoyable Mail Order Story

While highly improbable, this entertaining, lightly Christian mail order bride story tell the story of Steve, finding his long thought dead wife from Ireland, when she shows up in town as someone else's intended mail order bride.

They found each other, and then some!

This is an awesome tale, covered partly on "Gambled Pride", this is Steven Kelly and Emily St. Clair's side of the mail order bride's tale.
It includes amnesia, kidnapping, rescue and much, much more.
It has a love match that endures hardship and separation.
Yes, it's a grand tale, to be sure!

Swept Away..

This story centers around the female lead, Emily, and the male lead, Steven.

The both have had a difficult and heartbreaking past until one day their fate crosses.

Overall, this story was a good read filled with romance and mystery.

C.J. McAllister did well with the narration.

Couldn't stop listening!

This book wowed me from opening to closing. Steve Kelly has finally decided to move on--10 years after his wife died. When he meets mail order bride Emily, he realizes it is his wife. She has no recollection of him or who she is/was. There is a lot of hurt and mistrust between them. I could not stop listening and hoping against hope that they could find and rekindle their love for each other. I am hooked by this story and can't wait to read more from this series.

Sweet romance with more

While this is best read as part of the series you could read it as a standalone, there is enough included in this book that you wouldn't feel lost without the other books.

What a bunch of twists, it made for a really great story. I enjoyed getting to see another viewpoint of the characters from the previous book Sandra wrote in the series, the two fit together really well.

I lovely way to spend an afternoon.

The narration is excellent, I enjoyed the character voices and the delivery is smooth and conveys emotions well.

Great Read

Captured Heart by Sandra E. Sinclair was another good read. This is book fourteen in The Sweethearts of Jubilee Springs Series. Emily has no clue of her pst and decides to leave a monastery to become a mail order bride. Little did she know she would find out the man she is to marry is already her husband and Emily is not her name. I loved reading Steve and Adriel’s story.

Emily had no memory of her past. She decided to become a mail order bride to have a fresh start. She never expected that her past would come back to her.

Steven's Story!

Steven Kelly sent for a mail-order bride only to come face to face with the woman who he married 12 years ago and lost 10 years ago. He has been living as a widower all this time and now his whole world has been changed. The love he had for his lovely wife comes roaring back to him and this time, he will not let her go. 



Emily signs on to be a mail-order bride. She does not remember her past so what could hurt? As she is introduced to her husband to be, he tells her that her name is Adriel Kelly and that they are already married. Together they discover the past and the possibility for a second chance for love. When the past comes back though, will everything be ruined though?



I was waiting for this book since part of the story was told in Sandra's book Gambler's Pride. The wonderful thing is that you can read either book and not feel that you have to read the other, but when you do, it makes them both much better! CJ McAllister does a good job telling Steven and Adriel's story.
