great book with lots of nice insights and practical tips that go into lots of nuances and highlight wins and losses.
Laszlo's book is not just revolutionary in the business sense but his approach is so humane that it makes you believe you really can win and still do no evil :) thanks Laszlo!!!
Insights from inside the people operations at Google. How to attract, hire, motivate, retain or even disseminate great people from one of the world's most innovative companies. Lots of valuable insights for any managers, creators, and team members. How must your people-oriented policies relate to and reinforce your mission and vision as a company or institution? Lots of practical and sensible advice, wisdom, humour and intelligence distilled over the years.
Wish many of the "leaders"and managers I've met during my career had thought (and acted....) in tune with even a fraction of these insights...

Beautifully sums up how Google operate from a People Operations perspective distilling some complex data into the fundamental idea that people are essentially good, and we should treat people accordingly.

Laszlo has done a wonderful job of sharing the practices that have made Google a fantastic place to work and a better organisation because of it. He highlights that it is not the perks that make google a great place to work but the emotional intelligence, use of data, opportunity and transparency afforded to their staff that makes the difference. This book is helpful not just for HR but also for managers at eliciting better feedback and making people feel more valued in an organisation.
A must read for every manager or anyone who would like to make a difference to their workplace.
