Publisher's Summary

Do you know what Twitter is? You should - if you're in the business of promoting your business, that is. Twitter is a social media platform that lets users blast short messages, or "tweets," to members via the Twitter Web site, as well as cell phones, e-mail, IM, and even through Facebook. It's a great and effective way to keep people connected and up to date on what's going on in their social circle in real time. But it's not just for staying in touch with friends. It's also a great way to publicize your business or organization. Presidential campaigns use it to keep supporters and volunteers up to date; activists use it to coordinate street protests; and the office of the prime ,inister uses it to keep Britons informed on politics. But most importantly, businesses are using it to interact with customers and other businesses in a whole new way.Twitter Power shows you how to leverage the power of Twitter for instant business benefits - like reaching new markets and increasing sales. A good overview of Twitter

Well written and interesting to read. Gives a basic understanding of how to use Twitter. Sadly the author only gives us brief glimpse of how Twitter will change our lives and how business can use it.

Waste of time

If you need detailed instructions on how to create a twitter account, how to follow people, and how to set up a background image on your twitter profile this might be the book for you. Otherwise, you'll be like me who wasted too many hours waiting for the relevant information to begin. I gave up about half way through the book having not gained a bit of new knowledge, and really wanting my credit back.

Good but long

Lots of good information but a little too long. It could move faster and cover the same key material. Rather felt like the author was being paid by the word.
