Classic for those studying human resources...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Tips for Resumes and Interviews traces the origins of the essence of not only how to prepare for a interview but also makes you think about what the employer is also seeking from the job candidate. The book clearly illustrates the resume and interview process and is a must have for a prospective job seeker and educator seeking to enlighten students at the college level about the "skills needed for sucess" in today's job market.

What other book might you compare Tips for R??sum??s and Interviews: All in One Hour to and why?

This book far surpasses any other comparative narrative in human resources and job hunting. The book examines the array of concepts and skills that apply to the study of occupational careers.

Which scene was your favorite?

The most important aspect's of the book are the three key concepts regarding the critical skills for sucess;the best predictor of future performance is past behavior and how to communicate your life experiences with the STAR approach.

What???s an idea from the book that you will remember?

That a prospective employee must remember the resume's purpose is only to get the interview for the position, it does not get you the job!

Any additional comments?

The book is essential reading for person's looking for employment and how to perform with expertise in the job interview. Also, it is a great handbook as a supplemental text in the college classroom. The full text "Slice the Salami-Tips for Life and Leadership" by Mr. Lynnworth is also a must read as well.

Great tips!

What did you love best about Tips for Résumés and Interviews: All in One Hour?

I enjoyed that this audio was brief and to the point. This audio fit my limited times schedule perfectly.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tips for Résumés and Interviews: All in One Hour?

Artie mentioned writing to him to obtain sample resumes and the STAR sheets. I emailed him and in less than an hour he wrote back with the samples he promised he would send. What a joy and an honor that the author would personally respond back. I was very impressed!

Which scene was your favorite?

How to conduct oneself during the interview and having the STAR worksheet completed before of the interview. I think preparation ahead of time will be key for any successful interview.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was a book that I wanted to listen to all in one sitting. I have also heard it again several times to enforce what Artie shares.

Any additional comments?

Thanks Arite for the useful tips!! It was great meeting you. ;)
