This book will teach you the nuts and bolts of setting up an online business you love and give you the blueprint to create your ideal lifestyle and create freedom in business and adventure in life. If you have always thought that running a profitable business from your laptop, and having the freedom to do what you want when you want was just a pipe dream, then think again. After eight years of working in the bureaucracy of the corporate world, Natalie Sisson quit her high-paying job to fly to Canada, start a blog and cofound a technology company. In just 18 whirlwind months she learned how to build an online platform from scratch, and then left to start her own business, which involved flying to Argentina to eat empanadas, play Ultimate Frisbee, and launch her first digital product. Strike forward to now and she runs a six-figure business from her laptop, while living out of a suitcase, and making money teaching others how to build a business and lifestyle they love. If you are just starting out, this book will show you how to package and sell your knowledge and skills to earn enough to work and live anywhere. If you are an entrepreneur, this book will show you how to establish your credibility and authority and streamline your business to have more freedom.

The go-to guide for creating a freedom business!

Would you listen to The Suitcase Entrepreneur again? Why?

I absolutely loved this book. I have the ebook but loved the audio version too. There's such a wealth of information in here about so many aspects of entrepeneurship. Whatever you want to know about building a freedom business, Natalie has it covered here.

What did you like best about this story?

So many useful links - I was bookmarking like nobody's business!

Have you listened to any of Natalie Sisson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I'm a faithful Suitcase Entrepeneur podcast follower. But I still learnt loads from this audiobook - so much juicy wisdom, all in one place!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it's one to dive into over and over again, depending on where you're at in business.

I thought she did a great job with being specific in her advice. We also provide a great references to use in the real world.

Good for travel inspiration and great resources

This book would be helpful to anyone who is pursuing a travel and work lifestyle. There are many tips and resources that would be helpful and perspectives about working for oneself and traveling while doing so. I wouldn’t recommend this as an audiobook but rather the print version. I found myself listening while driving and doing other things and wishing I could have all of the resources she lists or being able to take notes, which would just be easier to have the actual book to highlight and make notes in.

Inspiring but a bit dated.

Her ideas are great and she seems to be practicing the 80/20 rule. Some of her online tools are out of date, there still around but there are better options now.

A advertisement for her sponsors

Would you try another book from Natalie Sisson and/or Natalie Sisson?

No

What was most disappointing about Natalie Sisson’s story?

The endless plugs for sponsors who help finance her travel

What three words best describe Natalie Sisson’s performance?

Out of rat-race

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I respect Natalie's choice to explore the world rather than participate in the expected school-career-work for someone else timeline that we are often forced into by capitalist society.

Any additional comments?

Listening to the author read off a list of products and services that help the author finance her lifestyle was disappointing, after hearing an inspirational message of the possibility living life on one's own terms. Bottom line is that nothing is free.
