Publisher's Summary

This audiobook is a book summary by FlashNotes for The Effective Executive: The Definitive Guide to Getting the Right Things Done by Peter F. Drucker.
What makes an effective executive?
The measure of the executive, Peter F. Drucker reminds us, is the ability to "get the right things done". This usually involves doing what other people have overlooked as well as avoiding what is unproductive. Intelligence, imagination, and knowledge may all be wasted in an executive job without the acquired habits of mind that mold them into results.
Drucker identifies five practices essential to business effectiveness that can - and must - be learned:

Managing time
Choosing what to contribute to the organization
Knowing where and how to mobilize strength for best effect
Setting the right priorities
Knitting all of them together with effective decision making

Ranging widely through the annals of business and government, Peter F. Drucker demonstrates the distinctive skill of the executive and offers fresh insights into old and seemingly obvious business situations.
Peter F. Drucker is considered the most influential management thinker ever. The author of more than 25 books, his ideas have had an enormous impact on shaping the modern corporation. Drucker passed away in 2005.

One of the most helpful and concise books here

I like this book because I have a problem prioritizing the tasks; it is good to get efficient. I would recommend it to people who are very busy working in the hospitals and are in busy surroundings where they are preoccupied with many tasks. It will help you prioritize and will help become time economic.
There are some v good points given.
The summary is very good because I do not have time to read or listen to the big books I started it last night and it's it's done now. I have completed it while walking.

The original book on productivity

Anything with Peter Drucker's name on it is masterful. This audiobook summary is one of them. Great work on distilling Drucker's concepts.

Great book, not so great audio book

It is a great book and it's sad that the audio is not at the same level. Bad quality makes it hard to understand (microphone noise). Also, the reader doesn't always use the correct pauses. It's almost like he is reading the phrases for the first time.
Too bad because overall it is a great book
