Publisher's Summary

What if charisma could be taught?
For the first time, science and technology have taken charisma apart, figured it out, and turned it into an applied science: In controlled laboratory experiments, researchers could raise or lower people's level of charisma as if they were turning a dial.
What you'll find here is practical magic: unique knowledge, drawn from a variety of sciences, revealing what charisma really is and how it works. You'll get both the insights and the techniques you need to apply this knowledge. The world will become your lab and every person you meet a chance to experiment.
The Charisma Myth is a mix of fun stories, sound science, and practical tools. Cabane takes a hard scientific approach to a heretofore mystical topic, covering what charisma actually is, how it is learned, what its side effects are, and how to handle them.

Very thin on content, pointless advice

I am not being harsh and i really wanted this to be a good book. But at one point the author goes on and on about how you should close the window if its distracting you, feel comfortable - temperature of the room! The book of full of anecdotes like this. The book is very thin on material, its just been stretched out with pointless examples like these.

Smart, easy exercises to apply

User friendly way to provide immediate improvement on your charisma, relationship building and communication style. Don’t expect deep psychological insights here, but if you want the tools to apply, this is your book. Definitely apply the practices and exercises as you go. I found myself pausing it, writing down the exercise and then trying to use it as soon as possible.

Narrator is good but could be listened to 1.25x. The audio seems to have been poorly edited and not compressed correctly, as you notice very significant variations in volume at certain points.
