What the Critics Say

“Make Your Brain Work is the first book to take cutting-edge neuroscience and apply it to improving one's ability to be successful, and to feel successful, at work. Using a lively set of characters that illustrate not just what to do to improve the brain at work, but how to do it” (Paul J. Zak, PhD, Author of The Moral Molecule, and Founding Director of the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies at Claremont Graduate University)
“Make Your Brain Work is an engaging book that is simultaneously filled with insight and application. Amy Brann not only provides us with greater understanding on how the brain works but she also gives us useful tools on how to make the brain work for each of us” (Stephen M. R. Covey, author of The New York Times bestselling book, The Speed of Trust, and co-author of Smart Trust)

I thought this would be a very interesting book. I am now halfway with the book, but if you should ask me what I've learnt thus far (or even heard thus far), I have no idea. It could be because of the narrator which is COMPLETELY wrong for the book and the subject matter.

Merilyn Harris would be great for a mystery novel a la Ruth Rendell or something like Murder She Wrote, but NOT for this. She reads it like it's a mystery and I just can't take her seriously. I have a good mind and go onto my next book - and I don't think I'd even wonder what the rest of the book is about.
