I thought this would be a very interesting book. I am now halfway with the book, but if you should ask me what I've learnt thus far (or even heard thus far), I have no idea. It could be because of the narrator which is COMPLETELY wrong for the book and the subject matter.
Merilyn Harris would be great for a mystery novel a la Ruth Rendell or something like Murder She Wrote, but NOT for this. She reads it like it's a mystery and I just can't take her seriously. I have a good mind and go onto my next book - and I don't think I'd even wonder what the rest of the book is about.

Would you listen to Make Your Brain Work again? Why?
Undoubtedly. There were so many useful tidbits and practical applications beneficial to personal performance and also to coaches looking to enhance their coaching ability.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Make Your Brain Work?
The examples of practical application and development through coaching.
What three words best describe Merilyn Harris’s voice?
I didn't like the narration very much. I found it to be very nasal like the narrator had a cold. It took a while to get over feeling like it was story time at kindergarten.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
A few laughs along the way and some 'aha' moments.
Any additional comments?
For someone looking to coach themselves, this is a good place to start. I think it is also very useful for coaches looking to enhance working with professional clients. Amy's book 'Neuroscience for coaches' is a logical next step, filled with much more specific detail and applications of our current scientific understanding in neuroscience.
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would change the narrator - she reads well I think, however it's so offputting listening to her trying to pronounce words through what I can only assume is a bad cold
Would you be willing to try another book from Amy Brann? Why or why not?
Possibly, however, like another reviewer commented I'm not really sure what I learnt from this book - perhaps I could have a look on the website to try and enrich the experience
What didn’t you like about Merilyn Harris’s performance?
The fact that she was reading whilst dealing with a stuffy nose
