Publisher's Summary

This Element is an excerpt from Rebound: A Proven Plan for Starting Over After Job Loss by Martha Finney, available in print and digital formats.
Be ready: know what to say and do when they're laying you off...what never to say and do...and what to do if you lose it!
Almost every layoff includes a long walk down a hall to a room with a closed door. You know who's behind that door. Your boss. Maybe someone from HR. You want to handle the meeting with dignity, but you're afraid you'll lose it. That walk is your chance to regroup and prepare.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes .. because hearing good advice from someone other than your best friend is always good advice.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

We all are laid off at some point from our job .. or even a relationship. Yes ... most of us who are 'seasoned' employees have already been through the motions and learned what we 'should have done' or 'should have said'. This is very helpful for younger people who need a helping hand during difficult times with their employers. I don't think it deserves a one star - which I am getting tired of seeing on a lot of really good audio books. These must be from other authors buying their competitions audios just to leave a nasty comment. Shameful!!!

What about J. J. Myers’s performance did you like?

she was wonderful. Nice pace, nice voice.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

This is an information book, so it should not be considered as movie substance.
