I had heard of Bitcoin but that is about it. James David Rockefeller writes in a way that explains crypto currency in a very basic way. I feel that I have a base understanding now that I have listened to this book.

Ginger White's performance was excellent. The subject matter could easily have made my eyes glaze over if I had been reading this. However, the writer as well, as White's narration was helpful in finishing.

Out of the darkness and into the Light

Rockerfeller's guide to cryptocurrency is really enlightening. I have to admit to being a novice when it came to this kind of "electronic cash", but since listening to this I feel preety much well informed on the subject. It covers the gamut of what it is, what kinds of CC there is (things I had never heard of, like DASH), how to acquire it, how to spend it, how to protect it, how to convert it, etc. I don't think there is a base that he didn't cover. Plus, he isn't overly verbose, and has written this for the Layman. As a newbie I wasn't overwhelmed or bored. Additionally, he doesn't ramble on a subject. He states his piece succinctly and then moves on to the next item of interest.

White is a vibrant narrator, and does not drone, but actually sounds interested in her topic. She does a great job conveying the information.

If you are interested in crypto-currency of any kind, for any reason, then this book is for you.

Solid Overview!

If you have an interest in cryptocurrency, you should listen to this book.
If you are concerned about the security of your financial transactions, you should listen to this book.
If you know nothing about electronic money transfers, could care less about how we transact financially, or just want all this technical stuff to leave you alone, you NEED to listen to this book!

This audio book provides a well thought out overview to emerging trends and options in how we transact business financially when its not done physically, face to face. The author does a great job in presenting this material in an easy to understand way while forming a comprehensive overview of the state of our current and future financial transaction options.

This was a very informative book. It concerns the different versions of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin and Litecoin and a few others, and where best to use them, online and even when going on holiday. It was very helpful in understanding cryptocurrency.

Good primer on cryptocurrency

One can scarcely read any tech news at all these days without encountering Bitcoin, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency. This book provides enough of an introduction to acquire a conversational understanding of these topics, learn how to use cryptocurrencies, and learn how they are becoming more and more relevant in the world.

Actionable info for the beginner

I don’t know if you have actually tried to buy cryptocurrency before, but it is not as accessible or intuitive as you might think it would be. Here is a helpful resource to get you started. I think I spent four or five hours on a multitude of website to glean the same information that is presented here in about 30 minutes. I wish I would have had this resource when I opened my first wallet. The content is well presented and organized. The narrator did a great job. This is the most practical audiobook I have listened to about actually getting started dealing with cryptocurrencies for the beginner. Check it out!

A Concise, Easy-to-Understand Guide for Beginners

This audiobook is a concise, easy-to-understand guide for beginners who want to learn about cryptocurrency and how it works.

The narrator’s voice is very pleasant, and she moves the book along at a nice pace. The only thing that I found a bit off-putting was the pronunciation of “cryptocurrency” as “crypt-a-currency.”

Overall, I found this to be very informative and a great primer for anyone who is interested in understanding cryptocurrency.

This book helped me to fill in some of the gaps I had in my knowledge about cryptocurrency, and how to get started making money with it. Very helpful and easy to follow!

Good beginner explanation. This is the first audio book that I thought listening rather than reading was better? Kind of like rolling it around in my head and not re reading it to try to comprehend. It was interesting.

Basic explainer for Cryptocurrency

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

This book is a basic overview of what crypto-currencies are and how it all works. And similar details are also available in various YouTube videos and whitepapers. Hence I wouldn't recommend anyone to pay for this book. If you are getting it for free though, go for it.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I pretty much knew all that was explained in this book, from YT videos I had seen earlier. So, I didn't learn anything new. It was mostly a revise for me.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Sure did.
