Publisher's Summary

Financial Statements is a perfect introduction to financial accounting for non-financial managers, stock market investors, undergraduate business and MBA students, lawyers, lenders, entrepreneurs, and more. Most introductory finance and accounting books either fail because they are written by accountants for accountants or the authors "dumb down" the concepts until they are virtually useless. Financial Statements deftly shows that all this accounting and financial reporting stuff is not rocket science and that anyone can understand it!
Thomas R. Ittelson is a scientist, businessman, author, and teacher with many years of hands-on experience in business development and marketing for technical companies. As a consultant to entrepreneurs, Ittelson has written business plans and prepared financial projections that have helped raise more than $500 million in start-up equity capital.

Breezy, nicely connected a lot of dots

I found this a great accompaniment to an all-online financial accounting class, because it fills in what the class and textbook lacked: a nice conversational sort of overview of how all the parts fit together.

Excellent book - much more than the title suggests

Where does Financial Statements rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best business books I have ever read.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The best part of the book is the second half, where the author explains Capital Budgeting, and related evaluation tools. It ties together the various financial concepts that one learns sparatically in college.

What about Chris Ensweiler’s performance did you like?

Absolutely excellent

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Financial Statements?

A full and complete understanding of a business from an accounting and finance perspective.

Any additional comments?

I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in business, especially accounting and finance people that would like a clear understanding of financial concepts applied.
