Excellent technical review

I listened to this audiobook as a review in preparation for the CompTia Network+ exam. It is an excellent review of the concepts that I learned when I took a college class about networking.

The lecture series focuses on the technical specifications that are easily forgotten. Examples of this are various types of cables, various protocols and how they function and interrelate, standards and what they apply to, functions of various command line prompts, etc.

I haven't taken the exam yet, but I would NOT use this as my sole source of information for the exam. This is a REVIEW. This is NOT a course.

The narration was good for such a technical topic. I didn't find it too sing-songy or flat, and the cadence kept me engaged with the material. The brevity of the lectures makes the audiobook perfect for a quick review that you can listen to over and over again in preparation for the test. At least, that's how I intend to use it.

Out of date, and not very thorough.

This was recorded for an older version of the N+ exam, so it is missing many current things. Also, the speaker often references visual literature that I wasn't able to find (I didn't look very hard). All in all, this is a good refresher for when you're driving, but I wouldn't use this as a major study aid.

Not an audiobook!

Although this is probably a perfectly fine CompTIA text book it is in no way a suitable candidate for conversion to audiobook. I bought it expecting it to be a revision aid but it just hasn't been written with an audio conversion in mind and so it's almost useless.

It's ok

Some parts don't make sense as you don't have figures but 90% of the time has good information
