What the Critics Say

"Most companies offer a product or service that could be obtained elsewhere, and the reason a prospect will choose you often comes down to how you tell your story. Read Gregory Diehl's Brand Identity Breakthrough and you will have a more compelling and successful story." (Pete Sisco,
"I consider this book MANDATORY reading for all creators, regardless of what phase you may be in. And especially for the Tim Ferris 4HWW crowd, like myself, this book is a wake-up call, as well as a hyper-important tool in your toolbox." (Eric Z,
"Brand Identity Breakthrough shares relatable stories about how to choose your customers while your competitors' leave that important decision to their clients. You can choose better clients and more control of your life." (Andrew Henderson, Nomad Capitalist)

Not my thing

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

As for the content of the book, I would say it is good for someone looking to improve or renew their business through purpose driven marketing and brand identity. I am not an entrepreneur, but I am familiar with and help several of them and I feel that they could certainly gain a lot from Thai book.

That said, the narration is dull. The narrator actually sounds like an automated voice from an older Mac computer in places. I had to check to make sure the narrator was listed as an actual human on several occasions.

I would recommend this book to budding entrepreneurs or small business owners who want a fresh look at their business, but I'd absolutely recommend getting it in print instead of audio.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. It has great information for the novice and expert alike.

What other book might you compare Brand Identity Breakthrough to and why?

An easy to read Good to Great and a true life 4 hour work week.

What does Gregory V. Diehl bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It is relatable and based on his experiences. Its like he is living the 4 hour work week and teaching a course on marketing all at the same time.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I enjoyed the case studies

Any additional comments?

I would highly recommend this book. Gregory was able to compile years worth of marketing advice into an easy to read down to earth book. He goes over many concepts that are need to know for the novice and good to review for an expert marketer. He covers specifics on brand identity as well as more general marketing concepts and strategies. The case studies from former students at the end of the book are extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this book. It was also read by the author which isn't always the best. But in this case....Well done. 5 stars.
