Branding that Makes Sense (and cents)!!!

Where does Brand Against the Machine rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best! It spoke to me in areas I needed to hear.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Brand Against the Machine?

There are so many take-aways from the book for me. I think in the beginning John laid it out very well: Branding is marketing with people not against them; it's not about market share it's about mindshare; Your brand is not a campaign but a commitment. The rest of the book shows how to make those outcomes a reality.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No? Just an excellent book and I will preach John's message to friends and colleagues.

Thank you, John Morgan!

First of all, I would like to thank John Morgan for writing this book. I'm transitioning from being a factory worker to being a full time Entrepreneur, so my purchase of this book is right on time. Whether you're just starting in business or you've been in business for decades, "Brand Against the Machine" is a must read and must experience book.

My plan as an Entrepreneur, is to touch and enrich the lives of my customers, clients, and partners. By applying what I've learned from "Brand Against the Machine", I am confident that my goals will be achieved. This book is for the serious business person that does not want to leave anything to chance. My suggestion is to purchase audio-book and the Kindle version.

Either I will meet you at the top of your Industry or I'll send you a post card when you go out of business. My hope is that you'll buy the book, read it, apply what you learn, and then achieve spectacular success.

The author begins very well with some excellent quotes from Johnson in the 1700's about advertising, and is probably the best part of the book. It promises a lot from the first 10 minutes, but then goes absolutely nowhere with a collection of bland marketing theory backed up by very poor personal anecdotes. Ironically a book that is meant to talk about creating a great brand, leaves me with a very bitter taste. Absolutely destroying his own brand.
