Short and Sweet

This book is really about development of children (and adults too really but they aren't mentioned) on how to nurture others and love them.

This book is simple, sweet and informative. It's quick to listen to and isn't bogged down with someone who just wants to show you their knowledge. He seems to really care and has simple ways of teaching about life. There's a happy sad reality to it.

The Wisdom, Quotes, and Piano of Mr. Rogers

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes - it's an easy listen, full of inspiring quotes.

What was one of the most memorable moments of You Are Special?

There are some great quotes in this book, but for me the most memorable aspect of the book is how Fred relays his experience of watching, listening, loving, and learning. So much of what you read in the parenting section today is based on formal research of children in "the lab".

Have you listened to any of Fred Rogers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

If you've watched the television series, you'll recognize the material, the tone, and Mr. Rogers at the piano between chapters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Thinking about life as a parent, this book challenges you to think about what you're doing.
