Publisher's Summary

Sir Jackie Stewart is a man of immense charisma and integrity and is one of the most highly regarded names in global sport: winner of three F1 World Championships, 27 Grands Prix, and ranked in the top five drivers of all time. On retiring from the circuit, he went on to build an equally impressive international business career. In the 1960s and into the 70s, with his black cap, sideburns, and aviator shades, Jackie Stewart was an unmistakable icon in a glorious era of style, glamour, and speed. On the track, his story is one of drama, excitement, tragedy, controversy, celebrity, danger, and massive success. Beyond the sport, his life is a compelling tale of battling against the odds and achieving world-wide recognition as an outstanding sportsman, role model, and highly accomplished and respected businessman.

a deeply Charming look, into a truly beautiful man

there are a lot of autobiographies kicking around about old racing drivers. Fortunately, this one stand so apart. Jackie Stewart is a genuinely beautiful human being, who has brought great richness to the qualities of his own Story by telling them himself. if only for his narration, I would recommend the audiobook over the written addition. But there's something else, in the timber of his old Scottish voice, you feel something of the Beauty and the pain of life. I could listen to this all day, and I just have.

Much to learn and enjoy

Apart from racing, there is so much more in this fascinating book. Great that Sir Jacky also red the book. Brilliant.

Very Well Written

Sir Jackie covers his glory years in F1 in some detail including his struggle to get driver safety recognised by the sport, but the book is much more than that. Sir Jackie reads his story as one who has made a great success of his life despite some deficiencies in his earlier years. I would recommend the book to any person whether a fan of F1 or not, his anecdotal stories of meetings with the Queen and other celebs is well worth a listen.
